Similar to facelift, the term “browlift” refers to many different approaches and operations. Our board-certified our facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Jess Prischmann, performs browlifts only when indicated, as “lifted” eyebrows do not necessarily make someone look younger.
Who is a good candidate?
- Eyebrows that rest lower than the orbital bone
- Lower and dense hairline (better for scar camouflage)
- Thinner skin
- Reasonable expectations
How is the operation performed?
There are many different approaches for browlift. The decision on which approach to use depends on patient, anatomical, and physician factors. A consultation and detailed discussion are necessary.
What is the recovery?
Recovery following browlift varies depending on which approach is selected. Endoscopic approaches usually have 10-14 days of downtime. Bruising, swelling, and temporary numbness of the forehead and scalp are expected following this operation.
Dr. Prischmann can discuss all aspects of brow lift surgery with you during an initial consultation. At this meeting, you are encouraged to ask any questions you may have, and talk with Dr. Prischmann about your goals. Please contact us today for more information, or to schedule a consultation.
